If a tuning measure has achieved a significant increase in performance and thus speed, the original transmission ratio often improves acceleration performance in particular, while the top speed only increases slightly. As a lot of driving is done at high speed, the Engine is often running at its limit. This means more stress and more wear on the Crankshaft, Bearing and Piston.

With a longer gear ratio, the same top speed can be achieved at a lower – and therefore more engine-friendly – engine speed. At the same time, a higher top speed is possible and overspeeding of the Engine downhill is prevented. Any loss of acceleration can then be compensated for by retuning the variator: Select slightly lighter rollers and set the Clutch harder.

Le PIAGGIO Leader, LEM, Quasar, et les moteurs de master (125 300cc) possèdent construire tolérances pour le salon du palier de vilebrequin (palier). Pour compenser les différentes dimensions PIAGGIO équipé soit de catégorie 1 (FC 1) ou 2 (FC 2) Type de vilebrequin. Si vous avez l’intention de remplacer le vilebrequin assurer que vous commandez le bon type.

La méthode la plus simple d’identification est de vérifier le vilebrequin d’origine. Les manivelles-bandes ont soit un 1 ou un 2 gravée sur leurs flancs, d’un 1 pour le FC 1 et a 2 pour le FC 2.
